The 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee will take place in this July in Busan, Republic of Korea.

Bringing together representatives from 196 States Parties to the World Heritage Convention, the Committee will discuss key issues related to the protection, conservation, and transmission of humanity’s shared heritage to future generations. This year’s session is particularly significant as it marks the first time the event is being hosted by the Republic of Korea.

In addition to these critical deliberations, the session will feature a rich variety of cultural programs and immersive experiences showcasing K-Heritage, K-Culture, and K-Food. These curated events will provide participants and visitors with a unique opportunity to engage with the essence of Korean culture through all five senses.
