2026 KOREA SEASON PRESENTS "K-LIVE FESTIVAL <BAND:AGE> IN BANGKOK" ON 17 OCTOBER

Hosted by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and co-organized by KOFICE and the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, the landmark festival brings together top Korean and Thai live bands at UOB Live. Tickets go on sale 11 September.

BANGKOK, THAILAND – 10 September, 2026 – The Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, has officially announced K-LIVE FESTIVAL <BAND:AGE> IN BANGKOK. Taking place on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at UOB Live (6th Floor, EmSphere), this premier music event brings together leading Korean and Thai musicians under the festival slogan: "PEEL IT OFF. TURN IT UP. K-LIVE ON."

The festival is a flagship highlight of "2026 Korea Season", an annual cultural exchange initiative hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea. Designed to build long-term cultural ties and foster mutual understanding, Korea Season presents a diverse range of Korean arts, music, dance, and cultural programmes throughout the year.

This year's Korea Season in Thailand began in May with the Korean creative ballet performance GAT, which received an enthusiastic response from Thai audiences. Throughout the year, the program continues to connect a variety of Korean cultural experiences, including music, festivals, media art and dance, further expanding sustainable cultural exchange between Korea and Thailand. Built around the theme "It's the Era of Bands" and the concept "BANDAGE OFF"—symbolising the moment the wrapping is peeled away and live music begins—the festival offers an immersive live experience across genres:

● EVAN: Trendy vocalist known for his distinctive, sweet tone.

● HYUKOH: Leading Korean indie rock band and contemporary youth culture icon.

● ONEWE: Dynamic five-member Korean band known for unique musical versatility.

● MINSU: Beloved singer-songwriter delivering honest, soulful melodies.

● Paper Planes: One of Thailand's top rock bands, bringing generation-spanning viral hits.

● DJ Sets: Performances by DJ JINWOOK and DJ MAKTOOP to complete the experience.

Interactive side programs begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the main stage performances at 5:00 PM.

Following K-LIVE FESTIVAL, Korea Season will continue in Thailand with immersive exhibition content from the National Museum of Korea, under the title <A Landscape Carried by Wishes: Immersive Korea> which will be presented at the Multipurpose Hall of the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand beginning 16 November.

กรุงเทพฯ ประเทศไทย – 10 กันยายน 2569 – มูลนิธิเกาหลีเพื่อการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมนานาชาติ (KOFICE) ร่วมกับศูนย์วัฒนธรรมเกาหลีประจำประเทศไทย ประกาศจัดงาน K-LIVE FESTIVAL <BAND:AGE> IN BANGKOK ในวันเสาร์ที่ 17 ตุลาคม 2569 ณ UOB Live ชั้น 6 ศูนย์การค้าเอ็มสเฟียร์ กรุงเทพฯ ภายใต้แนวคิด “PEEL IT OFF. TURN IT UP. K-LIVE ON.” พบกับศิลปินและวงดนตรีชั้นนำจากเกาหลีและไทยที่จะมาร่วมแสดงบนเวทีเดียวกัน

เทศกาลดนตรีครั้งนี้นับว่าเป็นหนึ่งในไฮไลต์สำคัญของ “2026 Korea Season” โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมประจำปีภายใต้การสนับสนุนของกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม กีฬา และการท่องเที่ยวแห่งสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเพื่อสานสัมพันธ์ทางวัฒนธรรมในระยะยาวและส่งเสริมความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างกัน โดยตลอดทั้งปี Korea Season นำเสนอศิลปะ ดนตรี การเต้น และกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมจากเกาหลีที่หลากหลาย

Korea Season ในประเทศไทย ประจำปีนี้เริ่มต้นขึ้นในเดือนพฤษภาคมด้วยการแสดงบัลเลต์ร่วมสมัยจากเกาหลีเรื่อง GAT ซึ่งได้รับการตอบรับจากผู้ชมชาวไทยเป็นอย่างดี และมีกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมจากเกาหลีจัดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องตลอดทั้งปี ทั้งดนตรี เทศกาล มีเดียอาร์ต และการเต้น เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างเกาหลีและไทยในระยะยาว โดยเทศกาลครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้ธีม “It’s the Era of Bands” และแนวคิด “BANDAGE OFF” ที่สื่อถึงช่วงเวลาของการปลดล็อคขีดจำกัดและปล่อยให้เสียงดนตรีสดได้เริ่มต้นขึ้น พร้อมมอบประสบการณ์การแสดงดนตรีสดที่หลากหลายผ่านดนตรีหลากหลายแนว ได้แก่:

● EVAN: นักร้องรุ่นใหม่ที่โดดเด่นด้วยน้ำเสียงหวานเป็นเอกลักษณ์

● HYUKOH: วงอินดี้ร็อกจากเกาหลีชั้นนำ และหนึ่งในตัวแทนสำคัญของวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยของคนรุ่นใหม่

● ONEWE: วงดนตรีเกาหลี 5 สมาชิก ที่โดดเด่นด้วยความสามารถทางดนตรีที่หลากหลายและเป็นเอกลักษณ์

● MINSU: นักร้องและนักแต่งเพลงที่ได้รับความรักจากแฟนเพลง ถ่ายทอดบทเพลงที่จริงใจและเต็มไปด้วยอารมณ์

● Paper Planes: หนึ่งในวงร็อกแถวหน้าของไทย เจ้าของเพลงฮิตที่ได้รับความนิยมจากหลายช่วงวัย

● DJ Sets: เติมเต็มบรรยากาศของงานด้วย DJ JINWOOK และ DJ MAKTOOP

กิจกรรมจะเริ่มเวลา 16.00 น. ตามด้วยการแสดงบนเวทีหลักเวลา 17.00 น.

หลังจบงาน K-LIVE FESTIVAL โครงการ Korea Season จะเดินหน้าจัดกิจกรรมในประเทศไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเตรียมนำเสนอเนื้อหานิทรรศการแบบอินเทอร์แอคทีฟจาก พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติเกาหลี (National Museum of Korea) ภายใต้ชื่อนิทรรศการ <A Landscape Carried by Wishes: Immersive Korea> ณ ห้องอเนกประสงค์ ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมเกาหลีประจำประเทศไทย ตั้งแต่วันที่ 16 พฤศจิกายน เป็นต้นไป
